On Friday, 29th May, 2026, the Pangani Girls Alumni Association facilitated an educational tour to the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) providing Pangani Girls High School students with a unique and transformative learning experience.
The 15 students were able to engage directly with one of the world’s leading international institutions, bridging classroom learning with real-world global development and diplomacy.
The visit achieved its primary objective of exposing students to the mandate, structure and operations of the United Nations system. It provided valuable insight into how international organizations address global challenges and foster cooperation among nations.
A key highlight of the tour was the mentorship and engagement session with the UNON Director General Zainab Hawa Bangura which inspired students to become global citizens and future leaders.
